Week 61 - (9/21/15) - Proud Elder McSheehy

Heya Friends and Family!!

Sorry i haven't been writing much lately.. Just been so busy.. I feel  like i start off each one of my letters off like that.   haha :D  Well, it's almost been a transfer since I've written in here. I've been in Sparks for 5 weeks now.  I've had 2 people that I taught in Reno get baptized in the last couple weeks :D!  I'm so proud of them!  Baptism is not an easy path when Satan will do everything in his power to stop you.   :\   But they made it through and they are going to the temple soon! (proud Elder McSheehy) haha :]  So Elder Dugger and I have been having a lot of fun.  We are trying really hard to find new people to teach.  All of the YSA (non married 18-31 year olds) are off at college.. and there isn't a major college in Sparks.  So we are having a down season for teaching.  We are back up and running though. finding new people to help out :D!
Nothing new going on around here.   Transfer calls are happening this week.   OH!  Also,  I haven't done this before but this week Happy Birthday to two special people:   Aunt Robyn, I love her so much!  She loves to spoil us all the time :]!! :D  And my wonderful Great Nana :D!  I love her too!  She is so sweet!
Well that is all for this week!  If you have any questions you want me to answer, shoot me an email at
Noah.McSheehy@myldsmail.net  and I'll answer it on my blog :)
Love you guys!! You rock :D!

Week 54 - (8-3-15) - Back In Stead

Dear Friends and Family!
Man I haven't written in here in forever!! I'm so sorry! I've been so busy having so much fun that I've haven't sat down to write a good letter in forever.  Well here's the story!
I'm back in my home apartment!  yes!  Back at Stead!  I was trained in this apartment, then I trained another missionary in this apartment, left, and now i'm back as a district leader :D!  So many good memories in this place!  I am in a YSA (young single adult) ward.  It's really weird because we teach anyone that is my age :o Feels like i'm teaching a college class xD.

Well i've had 2 companions since I've last written in here. :\ #slacker. Elder Johnson.  I was his last companion before he went home.  LOVE that guy!!  My companion before him was Elder Quist.  He took my place as district leader in Fallon.  He is awesome as well.  I miss that guy.  Now i have ELDER LITTLE as my companion!!  He's such a cool guy.  He's a stereo typical Texan who is so much fun.  We have all kinds of fun.  Having Nerf gun battles in the apartment all of the time.  Our neighbors hate us :S.  But then we help them out some and we become buddies!

So crazy story,  Elder Johnson, my previous companion almost died.  Some idiot threw a bolder through his window.  It bounced off of his pillow and onto the floor.   Had he gone to bed 5 minuets before, like he usually does, then he would have died.  Some people are mean.  They just don't understand.

I've had a couple dreams where i'm working back at the skating rink.  I guess i really miss my music.. :/ well i can't wait to go back to the skating rink.  One of the many things i miss, but i still love my mission so much!  I really don't want to come home :[.

Buh-Bye!!

Week 44 - (05-25-15) - STEAD HERE I COME!!!!

Dear World!
YOU HAVE NO CLUE HOW HAPPY I AM!!!! I'm so excited! I found out Saturday when President was passing through that I was leaving Fallon and Elder Quist would become the knew district leader here!! I'm so proud of him! But we were dying to figure out where I was going!!  The suspense has been killing me all weekend long!  I've been trying to figure out all of the details about this next transfer.
So we have found out that I'm going back to my birth place!! YES!! 31a Silverlake Rd, Reno, Nevada. STEAD WARD!!! I'm Going home!!!  I've missed that place so much, I am now the district leader over in the Reno north zone.  I now cover the YSA 2nd ward. Ohhh snap. that's weird haha.  That means we have a crazy huge area and our teaching pool is supper spread out!! My New companion is going to be Elder Johnson, YES!!! He is so cool.  I love that guy.  Elder Quist is getting a missionary that came out 3 transfers after me Elder Steele.  He will be over Elder Merrill, Elder Niegle, and his companion Elder Steele.  DANG!! I'm so excited to go back to Reno.  I'm going to be in the exact same apartment as before!!  Man, the memories that that place has.  I can't wait.. I will get to see the same missionaries!! (well for the most part..) Most of them have come and gone but i'm coming back!!!! AHHHH!!!!!!!!! XD   I'm going to miss Fallon so much it's been really hard saying good bye, but I've been prepared this time.  I had the idea that i was going for a while now.  I'm going to miss this ward so much.. President has really spoiled me on my mission. I'm just supper grateful.  I have the best wishes upon this area.  I hope everything works out the way it should, but yeah! Going back :]!! (I might just have to say hello to a few friends again xD)
But oh well! AHHHHHHHHH STEAD HERE I COME!!!!!!!!!

May I add just a quick note - In my personal email from Elder McSheehy this week, the one thing he said he would really really miss when he moves back to Reno are the Primary Children.  He said "They are like my best friends.  I love them so much!"  "The kids are so awesome here in Fallon  - they call me Elbow McShakey."  And a HUGE Thank You to The Glackin Family.  They have loved and cared for Elder McSheehy over the past 18 weeks. There's a shoe tree there along the way!  We also found out that Austin highway is "The loneliest road in America" DANG :D!  That's cool! hahaha We just drove that!!   On the way home from Austin we went to the shoe tree and had some fun there for a little bit.  We traveled there and drove back for dinner at the Glakins! They are the amazing family that you have been seeing, in most of my pictures on the blog. They are so cool!
This week we haven't actually had much success :\  Elder Quist and I have been slacking a little bit this last week but we are going to try harder.  Man there is so much to say but i am about out of time to type all of this up, Have to get to bed!

Week 38 - (4/12/15) - Words Can Not Describe How Happy I Am Right Now

Hello Everyone!

Words can not describe how happy I am right now.  The baptism of Blair and Keira has changed me. Literally!  I still feel the glow from Blair and Keira as I baptized Keira.  Blair shared a strong testimony to all of her friends and family.  She invited half of Fallon to her baptism!  It was so great.  I don't want to put to much down.  I will just say this - I am grateful God has trusted me enough with his beautiful daughters Blair and Keira.  They have taught me so much as a missionary.  I come out of each lesson glowing with joy because of them.  They will change a lot of people :)  I love them so much and I can't ever thank them enough for strengthening my testimony of my Savoir Jesus Christ.  I know He lives.  Because of Him I will one day live again.  I will be able to live with my Father in Heaven.  Because of Him, I was able to baptize Keira and share that gift He has given me.  Tears come to my eyes because of the love I've felt in the last week.  I love my Savoir.  I'm so grateful for the trust he has given me to teach Blair and Keira.  I wish I could be more like them.  They are Spiritual Giants.

I guess I will close this up -  Don't ever forget this - I don't care who you are or what you believe in.  I know that there is a Living God out there who loves you very much.  He wants the best for you.  He loves you so much.  If you want to feel His love please talk to the missionaries  in your area.  They can teach you so much.  They can teach you all about our Savoir and how He suffered for our sins because He loves us so much!!  HE LOVES YOU!!!  PLEASE!!  I want you to have this!!  I feel like it's not fair that most of you out there don't have or understand this great gift.  I want you to have it because I KNOW God loves you and I love you too.
I'm on a spiritual high right now and i don't want to leave haha.  I said i would stop writing quite a while ago haha.. well.
cya later! :]
oh btw.. I'm staying this transfer with Elder Quist :D Nothing in my district is changing :D

Week 37 - (4/6/15) - I Love General Conference!

Hello everyone!!

It's official, this week is the baptism of Blair & Keira.  This Saturday at 5:00!! Man that’s so cool :] I look forward to it! They are inviting all of their friends! :D. I'm so grateful that we are the missionaries to help them get to baptism :]!!

I will be baptizing Keira! I think I've told all of you a lot about them in the last post so I won't tell the same story :]

So this week was General Conference! So what is that? General Conference is when the Prophet and the Apostles, here on earth, gather in this big meeting called General Conference. They share messages that they have felt inspired to share.

haha yes.  If you caught that last part up there, We do believe there is a Prophet on the earth today. His name is Thomas S. Monson. I believe he talks to God just as the Prophets did in the Bible. Some people think that is an insane thing to claim but if you ask me - If God talked to prophets before, then why would he stop? I could go on forever but if you have any more questions ask me in an email (noah.mcsheehy@myldsmail.net) or ask someone else online! @ Mormon.org OR!  Have a missionary like me come over and say hello! Just go to mormon.org and find the place where it says - send the missionaries! :D

So I really enjoyed the talks given at General conference! I really do enjoy all of them so much. I love hearing the prophet tell his stories! He is such a nut! xD The older he gets the more hilarious he is! xD

If someone were to ask what my favorite talk was, I probably wouldn't be able to answer that question :\ just because all of the talks were so awesome!

So if you want to check out general conference you can watch it all yourself on LDS.org.

Have A Great Week!

Week 36 - (3/30/15) - Man I Love Missionary Work

March 30, 2015
Hello everyone!!
So this past week we ran the "Fun Run" According to Elder Monsen those two words shouldn't be used in a sentence without the word "not" in there somewhere.  hahaha.

So I ran 3 miles at the end of the Fit for his Kingdom Challenge.   I didn't realize that I haven't run 3 miles without stopping in a long time. I'm in a lot of pain ;D UGH. oh well haha.. I guess it's good for me.. :]

This week we are focusing on something called the April showers. We are asking the members that sign up on the dinner calendar to fast that day for missionary work!
Our Mission President is having us focus on the miracles this week! Well little did we know we had one last week!  If you read last week’s entry you will learn about the Zombie Invasion. Well that night we had a lesson with one of our investigators that is getting baptized soon!! woohoo! :D
Well what we didn't know about that experience was, all of the houses around us, their power was out. The members we were with shouldn't have had power. She said she is usually the first one without power. We should have had the lesson in the dark. But we didn't!  Maybe we would have had to post pone the lesson, and she wouldn't be getting baptized (this was the lesson where Keira and her agreed to baptism!) hmm :] Idk I just think that it was really cool.  Small miracle but it's something if you ask me!

We also have 3 other 12-14 year old girls that want to get baptized at the end of April. Man! Finally!  We have been teaching them for a long time now.
Man that’s 5 people that will make one of the best choices ever next month. I love that! :D

What a spiritual week! We’ve topped the amount of lessons I have taught here in Fallon this week! We had 16 lessons this last week.  Still not sister missionary status but it's getting there. I think our teaching pool is golden!

So we did some final touching ups this last Sunday and Blair and her daughter are officially getting baptized!! It’s going to be on April 11th, at 5:00! We wrote everything out and it's going to be great! I could feel the spirit as we taught those two the final lesson so they know what they are jumping into and they are so ready!
Kiera, the daughter, knows so much about God and everything He has to offer! (She’s in love with the Salt Lake Temple) Man I love kids. They have such sensitive spirits.. :] For instance, Kiera woke up the next morning after a lesson that we taught and told Blair (her mom)  “Mom.. I wish we could go to church every day.”  Love that girl haha. She's going to be the next President of the United States she says! Haha I'd vote for her :].
Now get this, Blair has asked one of her friends from another ward to come in and Baptize her. Kiera has asked if I would baptize her :D!! Man what an honor!! ;] I'm so excited!! I'm glad that I can give her one of the best gifts here on this earth. She's such a bright kid!

So hopefully! We will have 5 baptisms this month. :D WOOHOO!! That is awesome!!! Man I love missionary work. :D  I love seeing people accept The Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Week 35 - (3/23/15) - Zombie Apocalypse

Hey everyone!
So the zombie apocalypse happened last night!  We were coming home from the best lesson ever. (it would make the AP's jealous) ;D just kidding. We are teaching a lady who contacted us, her and her daughter want to get baptized! haha Awesome! It was just an overall really really good lesson. But I’ll get to that in a minute! So there was a planet you could see right next to the moon that night and it was super cool.  It is SUPER windy out when we drove back home. All of the lights got turned off. (the power went out) the street lights were out and there were police cars flying around everywhere. It was Crazy! So we made a barricade in our apartment and put all of our food in one spot and found a baseball bat and we protected ourselves. It was just funny but it was kind of cool :D

So there is this lady who is getting baptized April 11th! She is so ready! Her daughter is 8 and she wants to get baptized also! She has really good questions too! I think it's awesome! Counting down the days!
They are going to be awesome members!!

Each Tuesday this sweet sister feeds the missionaries. The Elders share a spiritual thought with the family. This week Elder Noah Mcsheehy share a story about the starfish and gave these precious girls a shell turtle and a starfish from home. Here Is the story
"Once upon a time, there was a wise man who used to go to the ocean to do his writing. He had a habit of walking on the beach before he began his work.

One day, as he was walking along the shore, he looked down the beach and saw a human figure moving like a dancer. He smiled to himself at the thought of someone who would dance to the day, and so, he walked faster to catch up.
As he got closer, he noticed that the figure was that of a young man, and that what he was doing was not dancing at all. The young man was reaching down to the shore, picking up small objects, and throwing them into the ocean.
He came closer still and called out "Good morning! May I ask what it is that you are doing?"
The young man paused, looked up, and replied "Throwing starfish into the ocean."
"I must ask, then, why are you throwing starfish into the ocean?" asked the somewhat startled wise man.
To this, the young man replied, "The sun is up and the tide is going out. If I don't throw them in, they'll die."
Upon hearing this, the wise man commented, "But, young man, do you not realize that there are miles and miles of beach and there are starfish all along every mile? You can't possibly make a difference!"
At this, the young man bent down, picked up yet another starfish, and threw it into the ocean. As it met the water, he said,
"It made a difference for that one"
