Week 35 - (3/23/15) - Zombie Apocalypse

Hey everyone!
So the zombie apocalypse happened last night!  We were coming home from the best lesson ever. (it would make the AP's jealous) ;D just kidding. We are teaching a lady who contacted us, her and her daughter want to get baptized! haha Awesome! It was just an overall really really good lesson. But I’ll get to that in a minute! So there was a planet you could see right next to the moon that night and it was super cool.  It is SUPER windy out when we drove back home. All of the lights got turned off. (the power went out) the street lights were out and there were police cars flying around everywhere. It was Crazy! So we made a barricade in our apartment and put all of our food in one spot and found a baseball bat and we protected ourselves. It was just funny but it was kind of cool :D

So there is this lady who is getting baptized April 11th! She is so ready! Her daughter is 8 and she wants to get baptized also! She has really good questions too! I think it's awesome! Counting down the days!
They are going to be awesome members!!

Each Tuesday this sweet sister feeds the missionaries. The Elders share a spiritual thought with the family. This week Elder Noah Mcsheehy share a story about the starfish and gave these precious girls a shell turtle and a starfish from home. Here Is the story
"Once upon a time, there was a wise man who used to go to the ocean to do his writing. He had a habit of walking on the beach before he began his work.

One day, as he was walking along the shore, he looked down the beach and saw a human figure moving like a dancer. He smiled to himself at the thought of someone who would dance to the day, and so, he walked faster to catch up.
As he got closer, he noticed that the figure was that of a young man, and that what he was doing was not dancing at all. The young man was reaching down to the shore, picking up small objects, and throwing them into the ocean.
He came closer still and called out "Good morning! May I ask what it is that you are doing?"
The young man paused, looked up, and replied "Throwing starfish into the ocean."
"I must ask, then, why are you throwing starfish into the ocean?" asked the somewhat startled wise man.
To this, the young man replied, "The sun is up and the tide is going out. If I don't throw them in, they'll die."
Upon hearing this, the wise man commented, "But, young man, do you not realize that there are miles and miles of beach and there are starfish all along every mile? You can't possibly make a difference!"
At this, the young man bent down, picked up yet another starfish, and threw it into the ocean. As it met the water, he said,
"It made a difference for that one"

Luckily  I'm good friends with all of my companions! So with my luck i'm going to be getting off the plane tomorrow! haha (lets pray not). I LOVE my mission!!
So this week we are going to try to set a record in our area for the most lessons taught in a week. Ridiculous i know! But i think that we can do it. We are going to be pumping out lessons :D! Prepare world here we come!!
Well that's whats coming for the Fallon area. My mom has sent me a 12-sided polygon cube and i have gotten SO CLOSE! Only 2 pieces were out of place. they needed to be reversed and then the polygon would have been completed. Haha. I've been getting video of me solving each cube. the 3x3x3 the 4x4x4 the 5x5x5 the 6x6x6. And hopefully the 7x7x7 soon. haa.. oh boy. well sorry this weeks letter is so short. maybe i can add on a bit more.
so about my new companion:
He is taller than me. I came out a transfer before him. He has been in almost 3x more companionships than i have and had 2x the areas i've had. Man he's going on an adventure. lucky duck. well i wouldn't say that. I've really enjoyed my 2 areas :]
he is a major legend of zelda nerd. he loves video games and acting. he pretends like he's weak but he could probably take 10 of me all at one time. haha.
He is super chill loves to have fun.

Mom - Man this lady spoils me rotten. I love her so much I receive at least a package every week from her :D It really helps you through the mission life. I promised myself I would never leave my family behind when I started my mission. She has definitely helped me with that promise.  I love you mom :D

Dad - Man I love hearing from dad. His emails are so much fun to read. I love hearing about the stories where he takes the deacons out camping (the little 12-13 year old boys).  It reminds me of how much fun we've had together! Then I remember that those times aren't over we will always have tons of fun together!

I love you guys. If i didn't put your name down I'm sorry I'm a little tired right now *sigh* I know there are TONS of people that sent me awesome stuff on Christmas and what not maybe i will expound later and put more people in. But for right now this will be all.  sorry D:

Alright so Transfer calls!!
I am going to be a district leader!! wow! Man.. Didn't see that one coming. Awesome! I'm very excited & also nervous! haha They don't teach you how to be a district leader xD wish me luck!

My new companion will be elder Quist!  Elder Quist came out the transfer before me. We believe he is currently in the tongan ward!

Elder Worthington's new companion will be elder Woltz.  He is actually staying in the same zone! So we don't actually have to say goodbye because we will bump shoulders every now and then! He is only an hour south of here. I forget his new area..

So the plan! We will be meeting Elder Gerber and Woltz at 4:30 on Tuesday morning at our place. Elder Worthington will be packing up with Elder Woltz and drive down to there new area. Elder Gerber and I will be going to transfers in Reno right after we are packed up. I came out into the field with Elder Gerber so i'm excited!! I love this guy! I get to spend an hour and a half with him in the car!  Then some time at transfers! WOOHOO!! I Love transfers!  I get to see all of the new missionaries coming in! (its weird to think that I was in the same shoes as them about 7 months ago!) Elder Gerber will find his new companion and take off! So thats it!

I'm staying as a district leader with elder Quist!! woohoo!! W

ish me luck!!
